Black Chocolate Stout Macaroons

Black Chocolate Stout Macaroons

Normally I am all about the macaron, but today I am making an exception and going gaga for macaroons. Black Chocolate Stout Macaroons, to be exact.

I’ll let the description speak for itself:

We start with Brooklyn Brewery’s Black Chocolate Stout, reduce it down to a thick syrup, then mix it up with some super secret ingredients to make a macaroon that’s slightly less sweet but packed with some pretty ridiculous flavor.

This Black Chocolate Stout Macaroon is from Danny Macaroon in New York City, home to more than 45 flavors of macaroons!

Roasted Balsamic Chickpeas from Pulse

Balsamic Chickpeas from Pulse | Fantabulously Coveted

I’ve gotta try these Balsamic Chickpeas asap. I love chickpea snacks, and to make them balsamic flavored? Yum!

According to the Pulse website, chickpeas are high in fiber and protein, low in fat, as well as gluten, dairy, soy, and nut free. In other words, roasted chickpeas could be the perfect snack. Pulse also believes in using ingredients that are 100% organic.

And the fact that roasted balsamic chickpeas are available? You can bet I’ve already placed my order! (Look for a review soon over at FF.) While I haven’t tried them yet (obviously), I’m imagining them to be a deliciously savory snack with just a touch of sweet.

If balsamic isn’t your thing, other flavor options include Sea Salt & Garlic, Original, and Spicy Lemon Zest.

The best part about the balsamic chickpeas (and all of the other chickpea flavors), as far as I can see, is that a bag contains less than 220 calories, which means you can munch and crunch without feeling guilty.

Red Velvet Doughnut from Glazed and Infused

Red Velvet Doughnut

I live in Chicago, so I’m mildly embarrassed that I only learned about Glazed and Infused last week. They’ve got shops all over the city carrying Red Velvet Doughnuts and I only just heard about them? Fail on my behalf.

On the other hand, better late than never because now all I can think about is getting my hands on a red velvet doughnut. My favorite cake flavor in doughnut form is bound to be incredible. According to the description on the website, this is a “Cocoa buttermilk cake with cream cheese glaze & red velvet crumbles.”

You will be mine, red velvet doughnut. Just you wait.

Check out the Glazed and Infused website for locations, hours, and more flavors.

Ooh La La Colossal Cupcake from Crumbs

Crumbs Ooh La La Colossal

Come on now – do I REALLY need to explain to you just why I need this Ooh La La Colossal Cupcake from Crumbs?  It’s chocolate cake filled with cream cheese frosting and topped with pink cream cheese frosting.  Those hearts on top of the cupcake?  They’re BROWNIES.  Brownies on a cupcake.  Heaven!  It could feed 6-8 people, or just me in 2-3 sittings.

Don’t worry – this post is totally PG.  G, even, unless you’re thinking about what this Aphrodisiac Collection of chocolates from Seattle-based Theo could lead to later.
